Feeling lost about food allergies and how they can fit into your bakery? Want to master a specific baking or decorating technique but don’t know where to start? Confused by social media or want to start your own food blog? Or perhaps you just need some structured advice to become a more efficient business owner?
What if you had someone you could run your ideas by? A cheerleader who has already made all of the mistakes that you don’t want to make. Trust me, as someone who has been in the baking industry for over 15 years and has seen just about every trend come and go, I know what it’s like. Sometimes we just need reassurance from someone who has been in our shoes before. Someone who GETS it. Someone to brainstorm with who isn’t so emotionally invested as we all know that that can definitely cloud our judgment.
What can I do for you?
One of my passions over the years, aside from creating allergy-friendly recipes, has been helping others grow their baking businesses and improve their decorating skills. Whether that is from learning new decorating techniques, tweaking your own recipes to make them allergy-friendly, guiding people through the challenges of social media and content creation, or offering business advice to streamline work processes.
My goal is to help others succeed in what can be an isolating and overwhelming industry, especially if you are new to running your own business and are trying to do all the things including being a Mom or Dad while functioning on minimal sleep and fuelled by whatever caffeinated beverage you prefer (I’m a peppermint and green tea girl, btw).
I am now offering 1-to-1 consultations and would be happy to help you jump over those stumbling blocks while avoiding some of the obvious pitfalls that many small businesses make.
My areas of specialty include:
- Streamlining work processes
- Food blogging and technical advice
- Content Creation and Social Media
- Recipe development
- Food allergy advice
- Decorating Techniques
What makes me qualified to help?
In 2021 I obtained my Masters degree in Business Administration (I also have a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Business) and know my way around the ins and outs of small business, having co-run a family business for over a decade and spent many years working with other small businesses in different industries. I also hold a Teaching and Training Adults certification and taught in-person decorating classes for 7 years.
