Easy Vegan Chocolate Mug Cake - Ready in 3 Minutes!
Craving chocolate cake but don't want to bake a whole cake? This easy vegan chocolate mug cake is ready in under 3 minutes, using simple pantry ingredients and your microwave. Made without eggs or butter, it's a quick, fudgy chocolate treat for one!

Ingredients
- Spray oil for greasing
- 4 tbsp All Purpose Flour
- ½ tsp Baking Powder
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 3 tbsp White Sugar
- 2 tbsp Neutral Oil
- 2 tbsp Plant-based Milk
- 1 tbsp Vegan Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Lightly spray the inside of a 350 ml microwave-safe mug with oil.
- Add the flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder and sugar. Stir to combine.
- Add the oil and plant-based milk. Mix thoroughly until smooth, scraping the bottom and sides of the mug to incorporate all the dry ingredients.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the batter.
- Microwave for approximately 90 seconds at 900 W, checking from around 60 seconds if using a more powerful microwave. Cooking times will vary depending on your appliance and mug.
- Carefully remove the mug from the microwave and allow the cake to cool for a couple of minutes before enjoying.

- Batter consistency: The batter will be thick. This is normal for this recipe.

If you're using a more powerful microwave, start checking at around 60 seconds to avoid overcooking. The cake will puff up as it cooks and then settle back down.
